Entery # 7
This is my art. It was very hard to size all the words to fit the photo. Once I got it down I was able use the " Create Outline" tool to better size my font

ENTERY # 6
(10/30/18)
Today I completed my HTML coding project. While it didn't involve any math it was still very tricky and confusing. I was unable to complete the last shape because I was unsure what to put where or why all my shapes kept disappearing. The key made this much easier however it was still hard the to get used to the format. It was satisfying when I finally got something right but I was constantly struggling and frustrated while trying to work it out. Unlike most my assignments, I don't think I would go back and do this on my own time. While I am proud of my end result it was a little underwhelming to see my finished product.

ENTRY 10/1/18
Today I completed what is probably one of the creepiest projects to date, photoshopping a person into a realistic toy. It took several attempts and I started from scratch more than 3 times before I got it looking how I wanted. I learned a new method of quick selecting, using the color range tool, to pick up certain tones to create a mask or new selection. The hardest part of the project was the joints of the doll as well as the skin. I enjoyed adding little touches like a broken foot or the hairline of a doll.

ENTRY #4 (9/24/18)
Today I completed my photo restoration project. I liked using the stamp tool because it was simple and straight forward. It made it easy to fill in the poles and stairs. The spot healing brush was helpful with the faces of the kids or small rips but not with restoring the corners of the photo. I liked doing this project because there was a very satisfying end piece to look at. I felt very accomplished and proud of the end result.

MULTIPLICITY
Today I completed my multiplicity project for my studio media class. I was struggling with my brush tool because no matter what opacity or hardness it was at, the brush wouldn't make a solid, dark line. Instead of one solid stroke I had to go over the image multiple times before it was dark enough to create a mask. I was having issues with creating masks on each layer but once I figured out how to use the brush tool to cut out figures, it was a breeze. Another thing I learned is the it is a lot easier to cut out the bodies if they are near the camera. I am happy with my finished piece.

ENTERY #2 (9/3/18)
Today I completed my "Forms" assignment on photoshop. I am already getting the hang of how to use the software but I am still figuring out, and learning a lot of things. For an example, I found out how you can change to opacity level on specific layers which makes it easier to erase accurately. I struggled a lot with the ellipse tool when I was trying to create my sphere but eventually got it to work. At first the paintbrush was hard to use for blending but the process got easier as I went and got more confident in my abilities.

ENTERY #1 (8/28/18)
I am super excited to start my Foundation: Digital Media class this semester! Being a film major I don't tend to stray far from the editing software I know so I am eager to be pushed out of my comfort zone and use new programs. I always liked making simple Flash animations on the computer as a kid so I'm looking forward to dipping my toes back into new/old things. Learning these new softwares and techniques can also help me in the future with editing my videos and films.
I am born and raised in Austin, Texas which is an up and coming hub for filmmaking. I have worked 2 internships with big production houses there and it makes me excited to get my start in the field. I am a film major and hope to go into video editing as a carer in the future. I like the production/postproduction side of filmmaking, specifically cinematography, color-correction, and the basic, early stages of editing.
I am always eager to learn but get discouraged when I cant grasp a new concept easily which is something I am expecting will occur a lot in this class. This will be a good chance to practice patience. I also want to expand my creativity and this is the perfect chance to let myself experiment with new styles, aesthetics and techniques. I look forward to whats to come this semester!
